After the merger of Koyo Seiko and Toyoda Machine Works in 2006 to form JTEKT Corporation, engineers from both divisions have worked closely together to develop state of the art spindle shaft support bearings, which are key to modern machine tools with high accuracy & precision requirements.

Цилиндрические роликоподшипники отличаются высокой допустимой радиальной нагрузкой и средней устойчивостью к продольным нагрузкам. Они имеют ролики цилиндрической формы, которые, однако, фактически не являются цилиндрами. Вместо этого их конструкция бочкообразная или открытая на конце, благодаря чему уменьшается накопление напряжения. Результатом этой особой геометрии является низкое трение, а сконструированные на ее базе подшипники пригодны для работы с большими скоростями.
